Supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)

To book your appointment, please purchase the "Supervised Rapid Antigen Test" (Click here to proceed)

We are now offering virtual (online) supervised rapid antigen testing for Travelling outside New Zealand (NOT funded) - [aka pre-departure testing]

  • Some countries require proof of a negative test result before departing from New Zealand. Pre-departure test requirements are set by the country you're transiting or travelling to. This includes test type (RAT or PCR) and the timeframe in which you need to complete your pre-departure testing. If your journey has multiple stops or transit points and there are different requirements for each stage, you will need to comply with the most stringent requirement.
  • You could also use this online tool provided by Air NZ to check the requirements you’ll have to adhere to depending on the destination country selected
  • This service is privately funded thus there is a charge of $50
  • Note: It is the responsibility of the traveller to determine the appropriate pre-departure testing required for their travel destination country and transiting countries. If testing within 48 hours of departure is required, saliva-based RAPID PCR tests are available from local service providers in the column at right. RATs are NOT the only short-turnaround test option.
