Hartmann Atrauman Ag Silver Wound Contact Layer Dressing Single

General Information

Hartmann Atrauman Ag is a thin, non-adherent wound contact layer made of polyamide fabric coated with elemental silver and impregnated with a non-medicated, paraffin-free triglyceride base. It is designed for atraumatic dressing changes and is intended for use under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Sold as a single dressing in 5cm x 5cm, 10cm x 10cm or 10cm x 20cm.

Materials

Polyamide support fabric coated with elemental silver. Impregnation: caprylic/capric/myristic/stearic triglyceride, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, macrogol 2000.

Directions

• Use as directed by your healthcare professional.
• Cut to size under sterile conditions with both covers on, so the dressing slightly overlaps the wound.
• Apply in a single layer - do not fold or layer.
• Cover with a suitable sterile absorbent secondary dressing.
• Can remain in place for up to 7 days; use a new dressing at each change.

Warnings

• Always read the label and use only as directed.
• Sterile, single use only. Do not use if the individual pack is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
• If the wound is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (increasing redness, swelling, heat, pain or pus) or does not heal, see your healthcare professional.
• Do not use on dry wounds or if hypersensitive to any component.
• Do not combine with iodine- or paraffin-containing dressings or ointments.
• Does not replace antibiotic therapy where needed. Temporary discolouration of the wound area can occur.
• Use in infants, children, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a healthcare professional's advice.
