Hartmann Atrauman Non-Medicated Wound Contact Layer Dressing Single

General Information

Hartmann Atrauman is a thin, soft, sterile, single-use ointment dressing for superficial acute and chronic wounds. It is impregnated with a neutral, non-medicated ointment that stops the secondary dressing sticking to the wound bed and helps keep wound edges and surrounding skin supple. Sold as a single dressing in 5cm x 5cm or 7.5cm x 10cm. A secondary absorbent dressing is required.

Materials

Hydrophobic polyester tulle impregnated with a neutral ointment (ester mixture of natural vegetable fatty acids as di- and triglycerides).

Directions

• Remove from the peel pack with both covers still on; cut to size with sterile scissors if needed.
• Peel off one cover, place that side on the wound, then remove the second cover.
• Cover with a sterile absorbent secondary dressing and secure.
• Use a new dressing at each change, or as advised by your healthcare professional.

Warnings

• Always read the label and use only as directed.
• Sterile, single use only. Do not use if the individual pack is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
• If the wound is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (increasing redness, swelling, heat, pain or pus) or does not heal, see your healthcare professional.
• Not waterproof. Requires a secondary dressing.
