Hartmann Cosmopor E Sterile Absorbent Adhesive Dressing

General Information

Hartmann Cosmopor E is a sterile, self-adhesive island dressing for post-operative wounds and first-aid care of minor injuries. A highly absorbent, non-adherent pad cushions and protects the wound, on a soft, breathable non-woven backing with a skin-friendly hypoallergenic adhesive. Available in 7.2cm x 5cm, 10cm x 8cm, 15cm x 8cm and 20cm x 10cm, as singles or boxes.

Materials

Soft non-woven polyester backing, absorbent viscose pad, polyethylene net wound contact layer, hypoallergenic polyacrylate adhesive.

Directions

• Clean and dry the skin around the wound.
• Remove the protective papers and centre the pad over the wound.
• Press the adhesive border gently onto the skin.
• Change when the pad is saturated or wet, or as advised by your healthcare professional.

Warnings

• Always read the label and use only as directed.
• Sterile, single use only. Do not use if the individual pack is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
• If the wound is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (increasing redness, swelling, heat, pain or pus) or does not heal, see your healthcare professional.
• Not waterproof - change the dressing if it becomes wet.
