Hartmann Hydrofilm Transparent Film Dressing 6cm x 7cm

General Information

Hartmann Hydrofilm is a sterile, self-adhesive, transparent polyurethane film dressing. It is waterproof and acts as a barrier to bacteria while letting moisture vapour escape. The wound can be checked without removing the dressing, and you can shower with it on.

Materials

Semi-permeable polyurethane film with a hypoallergenic polyacrylate adhesive. Colophony (rosin) free.

Directions

• Clean and dry the skin around the wound. The dressing can be cut to size.
• Partly peel back covers 1 and 2 and place the adhesive side over the wound.
• Remove covers 1 and 2 fully and press the film down gently.
• Remove cover 3, then cover 4, and press gently onto the skin.
• To remove, lift one edge and gently stretch the film parallel to the skin to release it.
• Can remain in place for up to 5 days depending on the wound; showering is possible.

Warnings

• Always read the label and use only as directed.
• Sterile, single use only. Do not use if the individual pack is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
• If the wound is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (increasing redness, swelling, heat, pain or pus) or does not heal, see your healthcare professional.
• Not for infected, bleeding or exuding wounds.
