Hartmann Omnistrip Sterile Wound Closure Strips 6mm x 76mm 3 Strips

General Information

Hartmann Omnistrip are sterile wound closure strips made of skin-coloured non-woven fabric with a hypoallergenic adhesive. They are used to close minor cuts and surgical incisions without stitches, to relieve tension on wound edges and to support fresh scars after stitches or staples are removed. This envelope contains 3 strips, 6mm x 76mm.

Materials

Polyamide spunbond non-woven backing with a hypoallergenic polyacrylate adhesive.

Directions

• Make sure the skin is clean and dry.
• Peel the backing paper off the middle of the strip.
• Holding the outer backing papers, place the strip across the wound at right angles to the wound edges and press down.
• Remove the outer backing papers one at a time and press on.
• To remove, pull both ends towards the wound, then lift off carefully.

Warnings

• Always read the label and use only as directed.
• Sterile, single use only. Do not use if the individual pack is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
• If the wound is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (increasing redness, swelling, heat, pain or pus) or does not heal, see your healthcare professional.
• Not suitable for open or gaping wounds that need to heal from the base (secondary intention) - seek medical advice for deep or gaping cuts.
