Gastro-Lieve Loperamide 2mg capsules (AFT Pharmaceuticals) are for the symptomatic relief of acute diarrhoea in adults and children 12 years and over. Each pack contains 20 capsules. Pharmacy Only Medicine.

Ingredients

Active: Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg per capsule. Contains sugars (lactose).

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each loose bowel motion. Do not take more than 8 capsules in 24 hours. Not for children under 12 years. Store below 25°C.

Warnings

Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist, see your healthcare professional. See a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a fever, severe stomach pain, bloody diarrhoea or an ongoing bowel condition. Seek medical advice if diarrhoea continues after two days of treatment. Drink plenty of fluids, as fluid and electrolyte loss can occur with diarrhoea; seek medical attention if dehydration is suspected. Do not take if you have a condition where constipation should be avoided. May cause drowsiness – if affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Contains lactose.
