General Information

Polaramine 2mg tablets contain dexchlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine for hay fever symptoms such as sneezing and itchy, watery eyes, and for itching from sandfly and mosquito bites, allergic skin reactions and hives. It can cause drowsiness. Pharmacist Only Medicine: our pharmacist will confirm it is suitable for you before your order is supplied.

Active ingredient

Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2mg per tablet.

Directions

Adults: 1 tablet every 6 hours; once relief is achieved the dose may be reduced to 1 tablet as required. Children 6 to 12 years: half a tablet every 6 hours. Not for children under 6; ask about Polaramine Syrup.

Warnings

May cause drowsiness. Do not drive or use machinery until you know how it affects you. Avoid alcohol. Sedatives, hypnotics and tranquillisers can increase drowsiness. Do not take with MAOI antidepressants. Keep out of reach of children.
